Custom Orthotics
Precision Made To Fit Your Needs!

That's a lot of pressure applied on your feet. Due to our daily hectic schedules, foot health has become an increasingly important part of our lives.

Each individual’s feet interact differently with the ground, which affects the use of joints, muscles, and tendons in the foot. By stabilizing and balancing your feet, custom made orthotics enhance your body’s performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to your total body wellness.

Conducting a thorough bio-mechanical analysis and custom fitting will allow us to produce the ideal orthotics for you. Custom orthotics are bio-mechanical medical appliances that are made to correct your specific foot imbalance. Therefore, they are covered by most extended health insurance plans.

Helping YOU achieve relief – now and in the future!

WHAT ARE CUSTOM ORTHOTICS?

Orthotics are custom made inserts placed inside the shoes with the purpose of treating bio-mechanical foot disorders that can cause foot, knee, hip, and low back pain. Orthotics provide support, stability, cushioning, and the correct alignment necessary to keep your feet, ankles, and lower body comfortable, healthy, and pain free.

How are Orthotics Fitted?

At Oakville Injury and Pain Relief, we only use the best form of technology to correctly diagnose your complaint. Patients undergo a detailed history, physical exam and an in-depth bio-mechanical gait analysis. After all testing is complete, a foam cast impression of each foot is taken and then sent to the lab to be precision crafted.

By offering to cast your foot in the true neutral position resulting in a tailor-made orthotic device that helps correct the underlying cause of bio-mechanical imbalances.

HOW DO THEY WORK AND WHY ARE THEY EFFECTIVE?

With poor foot mechanics, either the wrong muscles contract during movement or the correct ones contract out of their proper, critical sequence. Your muscles and tendons eventually fatigue and the arch support breaks down, causing microscopic tears that trigger a cascade of dysfunction, inflammation, scarring, and in some cases, degeneration. By correcting foot alignment, your feet can work properly and pain-free.

Put Your Best Foot Forward With Custom Orthotics at Oakville Injury and Pain Relief

Your feet are the foundation of your body. They support you when you stand, walk, or run. They help protect your spine, bones, and soft tissues from damaging stress as you move around. Your feet perform better when all their muscles, arches, and bones are in their ideal stable positions.

Your feet have direct impact on the rest of your body. Even a small abnormality in foot function can have a big impact on your other joints, causing pain and discomfort.

When you are running, the pressure on your feet can be three or four times your body weight. Even walking can be tough on your feet. Discomfort and strain on your feet can lead to pain in other areas of the body, including your ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulders, and neck.
